Whatever it is it runs extremely well, doesn't break, has a steel crank, oem heads that flow over 300cfm, and is lighter than aftermarket chevy heads and blocks.

Things start to stick and deteriorate when gas is involved and they sit around. I would check to see if the check valve under the squirter is stuck. And check the power valve to see if it is dried...
