Depends on the rear suspension.
On a leaf car the 7/2 would be placed on the RF, with a 3/5 on the LR.
A bar car would be just the opposite. More compression on the LR to "hold it up" and less...

Needmore is a good place to get rid of your car if you can't sell it! Wreck-fest, one lane, dust bowl, tire eating, rubbered up hole in the earth.!

6 cycles in a SPEC D21 on a Late, WOW. Sounds like the tire is too hard for track conditions. After qualifing and a 30 lapper and they are gone. On the lower classes, I'd put a new RR D21 on after 2...

Considering it's only eating the caps that the u-bolts are on, sounds like you are over tightening the bolts and crushing the caps, not allowing the needles to rotate in the cap. There is a torque on...

Cut out the sheet metal floor to gain access to the actual mount for the spring. Attach a piece of tubing from the lower cross bar of the 4 point down to the spring perch. This should have been done...

Why or when would you need a "pressurized" power steering tank? Got one on a new car that is made by Sweet, has a scrader valve, over flow tube, and a radiator cap. Does one need to add pressure to...

The newer modules have an extra ground wire that must be grounded...

Bert transmissions make a whinning noise? (usually in low gear though)

late models don't run 175's huh? Guess they dont attach their springs to a rotating birdcage anymore either?
Soften the front and add rear weight...

A properly installed crankcase evac system does wonders for those minor oil leaks.
-
Softening the front springs really helped, had to go up on bite as the weaker RF took away forward drive. Thanks guys...

Lead is already as high as I can get it, just below deck. No lead beyond 12" behind rear axle center line.
51% left
52% rear
120lbs. of LR bite

Me too. Broken several steel GM cranks and "Scat"ter cast cranks, but never a cast GM. I'd go with an Eagle way b4 a Scat, same on rods...

Hunting more side bite.
Will going to a taller lowering block help?
Say going from 1" LR and 2" RR to 2" LR and 3" RR and resetting the ride heights by lowering the rear of the spring in the...

Powder coat was an option, but the additional cost they wanted because of the extra prep work out weighed the cost difference. This car had the factory floor pan, fire wall and roof still on it....
-
Thanks for all the replys. Went w/the KBS Coatings. Turned out really good. Car looks like it was powder coated, but at half the cost. Seems to be as tough as powder coat so far.

Why will a softer spring cause the chassis to bottom out less than a stiffer spring?
-
I did not count, maybe 12 or so. Madden, Landers, Davenport, Erb, Moran, and Brindle among the heavy hitters. Tyler Ivey and Henry Carter amoung the locals. Remember seeing a #11 & #93 too....

Heavy RF=
Not enough RF wheel off-set
Too much LF wheel off-set
Too much cross weight
RF ride height too high
LF ride height too low
Low left side weight

Building a new car, almost ready for paint...thinking of going with KBS Coatings or POR 15. Thoughts? Powder coating isn't an option as factory firewall, floor pan, roof and quarters is on the car. ...

Bomber Feature winner(#56 Kevin Durden) was DQ'ed for running a module in his HEI distributor....?

Someone posted on Facebook that Hill was 2nd, Madden 3rd??????And someone else was hearing Madden tires didn't pass tech either??????
