I think it's still too early to worry about this. Kyle is on a hot streak. If you run is average points per race of 32.6 for the full 20 complete races, he would have 652 putting him only 6th place...

Had very similar symptoms one night, and it had nothing to do with the front end. The cause was a broken torque arm brace. The car seemed fine through the corners, but would drive hard right, toward...

Sorry C10! It was late, and I mistakenly thought that your post was r2rocket's follow-up! Agree with everything you posted.

Fought this problem on an older GRT, and there are some posts around here somewhere. You may have already looked into this, but here it is.
I found two things that had a serious affect bottoming...

Keep the 550 on the LF and go stiffer on the RF, maybe as high as 425 on sticky track and then down to 400 or 375 when it gets dry like rubbinsracin mentioned.

it depends on the number of stages your pump uses. There's a lot of good info on the peterson fluid systems site, if you haven't already checked it out

Car I'm working with is an older GRT, 2-hole bottom brackets. The car is decent, but I was able to sit in a 'good' car a while back, and I learned a bit about where this car needs to be.
My issue...

This may or may not be relevant, but ever since I started running a 4-bar car, I've always been under the notion to keep the 4 bars parallel with the frame @ ride height. if trying to add/remove...

i mounted the one on my car just above the transmission, on the horizontal bar that connects the front down tubes around the c---pit, using two weight clamps. Works well for me b/c the drain pan...

if it helps, we have torqued anywhere from 55-75 to get the right stretch. Like above, best to use a gauge. And, the bolts are designed to be torqued 2-3 times before final torquing at...

Put about 20# of air in the RR, set it in the sun for a couple hours. Biggest I've had is about 93" if that puts you in the ballpark, but don't expect more than 92-92.5" usually, but that's with 9#,...

racin6mod, that sounds like the ticket. Usually, with two people, we will open bleeder, press pedal and hold, tighten bleeder. Do that first two times, then bleed 'normally' two or three more times...

Looks like it's too close to the bottom to sleeve. That'll ruin your day for sure!

Don't write off the electrical unless you've replaced the toggle switch. Not guaranteeing that is the problem, but I've seen a lot of $$ spent that would've been saved replacing that 10-dollar part.

No. When we used 12" wheels, they were 4" offset. Our 14" wheels are 5".
If you take 2" from the width, take 1" from backspace to keep contact patch centered.

Stock Nodular crank, as suggested, will be fine. We got several seasons out of 11:1 motors turning 7000 each race using hypreu pistons and the I-beam Eagle 5.7 rods. I also agree that you should put...

First, I'd recommend the book How to Hotrod Small Block Chevys. It's an older book full of lots of info that helped us on our first builds. The Vizard book How to Rebuild SBCs is also a good...

Although it might not be the cheapest solution, using an Accusump setup with a cutoff will get you around the problem with losing the prime.

I'm installing a 3 stage myself, so I don't know if this is applicable. The guys that have given me info who are mostly running 4 or 5 stages have said to turn the motor over with the starter until...

I think we see a more and more singers screwing up the National Anthem because they constantly add their own little touches, and carry the notes out so long they forget the next word! Haha
The...

From my obvious posts, no doubt it's clear I'm working on installing a dry sump system. It's a 3-stage deal (that I purchased from a board member :D) and it's being plumbed into a small block that...

Curiosity has gotten the best of me. Do you guys have any speculation as to what the problem could be? Loose oil pump bolt? Broken pump casting? Pickup issue--is the pickup simply pressed in at...
-
It's just the oil pump. I'll add the link to the catalog page below. I'll order the 28-tooth pulley (all26420) and 24" belt (all86134). Thanks guys!

Another question for the board: This is the first time I've fooled with dry sump equipment, and my Bert flywheel is the 1 piece ext balance w/Glimer teeth. The only info I have so far is someone...
