I think someone is trying to confuse you. and if the only thing you know about the cam is .610 lift then actually degreeing the cam is kind of difficult without degree wheels and a mag base dial...

I agree start in 2nd run in 2nd, its rough on the clutch and tranny to shift them like that and i know a guy who missed a shift and his motors coming apart, not good
