I know at my home track last year they would send guys who could barely get things up and running..if at all. At least once I think it was cancelled and another time the sound was all jacked up.
-
Fairbury is a unicorn because they are located in a town that absolutely embraces the race track as part of its history. Unfortunately, that doesn't exist at 99% of tracks across America.

IMO, weekly racing has long been a death sentence for a track. They may not realize it, at first, but eventually all those losses add up to a huge amount. If the sport is hard enough for the average...

As I keep saying... "we need more money" is the easy part. Someone start figuring out where money can/will/should come from.
-
when you are the product..you have to market yourself as such. You don't get to just "show up" and expect money to be pouring in. How many DLM drivers do you really see with a personality, something...

the end of the article lets the cat out of the bag

other than that..everyone keeps blaming the tracks for the racing..we currently have race cars that can't actually race each other unless they go to small tracks.

someone believed the double boone story! lol

If you're scared of making contact on a 1/4 mile track and don't wanna scratch your pretty wrap..pull er on in! As long as the dudes are actually racing and not trying to wreck someone, then its...

Personally, these super packed, almost asphalt..dry slick tracks are a big part of the boring racing.

Manure works really well for moisture retention in soils

I feel like it's the same story as always. Every other Rocker isn't the same as the house car. Maybe I'm crazy but Mark Richards seems like the type that would keep some things in house to keep an...

no one would have touched him last night.

I watched and thought it was a great story. I don't think it was so much about the straight axle as it was the suspension and ability to eliminate bump and roll steer that scared the big fish

In the case of the SN race..I can kind of understand it in the sense that its a 1 shot deal for that series. The flip side..is that this routinely happens with a couple tracks in the state of KY and...

For all that is holy...PLEASE don't let it be another Saturday night track

Its killed when the investment in time and money is near the same as a new bare chassis
-
I'd rather watch anything 3/8s or less and preferably 1/4 mile-ish tracks vs. any track 1/2 or bigger..no matter their name. I want traffic and close racing and no getting away and all that goes with...

My thoughts are that..1. a guy following cannot get close to the lead car because he will be blinded by the roost. 2. They can't get close because of aero on such a fast and flat track. 3. at those...

I find myself way more invested in the "little guys" getting to win big bucks than national tours.

if anyone believes there isn't already radio communication being used..they are naive. In my opinion, thats whats happening now more than signal sticks.
-
get rid of all signaling..no bright colored gloves, no lights, no nothing.
