Unless you have an extremely well ported head or an essy aluminum head I would try the roller stuff. You might actually lose hp and torque if you do.
-
Marsh Racing Wheels can do it as well.

Any answer would be a guess. Gears can be way different at different tracks across the US. You're better off letting everyone know what track's you plan on running at and there is a good chance...

Measure from the top of the wrist pin hole to the top of the piston. Then take a piston that you know is a 5.7 or a 6.0 and measure it. This will tell you right away what is what. Or you can mock it.

Didn't realize you had dropped it off in December. Yeah that is pretty much BS.
-
This time of year if you are using a high-quality machine shop that a lot of racers like to use wait time could easily exceed a month. I dropped a block off about a month ago to get built up and it...

Remember on the rod bolts to go by bolt stretch. Get yourself a rod bolt stretch gauge.

Is that a billet crank? What's your opinion on 4340 cranks if not?
-
What size track, and banking?
-
Your right in many ways fast crew. NASCAR runs billet cranks though. Whole different animal. Rod and piston wise I don't know. I wouldn't recommend the typical 4340 lightweight crank w typical h...

Do a leak down test, you're most likely ready for a rebuild w/ some fresh piston rings.
-
Sprint cars also rebuild their engines every 4-5 nights out.
A late model engine would be a better example IMO.

I have read a couple of opinions on this subject and would like to hear some more. I've seen a few engine builders who prefer heavier 4340 cranks over the lightened ones in certain applications with...

Custom cam all the way then.
-
If you are allowed an aftermarket cam then this opens up the rules a bit. Figure out which heads you are running and call a good cam grinder that can design a 18" vacuum cam for you and your ready to...
