We run a 1.68 in 2nd with a 4.11 every week, never have any problems with it. But I think running it in high keeps the heat down in transmission.

So your not using rear motor mounts? We had the same problem and had to put rear motor mount plates in just as spacers because the release bearing was pushing on pressure plate without shims.

We dont use the buckets either, just have a bar that runs across frame and a nut welded on it for the jack bolt. Support braces for the bar and gussetts for the nuts, has worked good.

We use a single reservoir master cylinder off a 65 chevy truck. Only has one line that comes out of it and we split it to 4 wheels, works pretty good.

We always run a restrictor but i was just thinking about water speed etc. wouldn't the the restrictor act like a water hose nozzle, you open the valve all the way and take the nozzle off then the...

maybe check to see if your pedal and master cylinder is returning all the way
