Only if the track you are planning on running has very tight corners, the open rear will help the car turn. But for the most part a locked rearend will be prefered. Stagger is pretty easily achieved...
-
if its open carrier you wont need any stagger.

Cooper Cobras are real easy to overheat, we run longer features down south so the cooper would go away easy. We ran allot of 40, 50, and 100 lap shows on radials and the cooper was not a prime choice...

The goodyear 6 ply tire.... gt+4 is an excellent tire for dry slick high banked tracks. We used to run on a similar track and dominated with this tire.... they work best almost slick and old. You...

From the looks of the pics, the driveshaft is binding somewhere, somehow... causing the driveshaft to buckle in the center and then rip everything else out... first thing is get a heavier duty...

Also can close stagger up from heat to feature.

I think you answered yourself with car has to be stock as factory, does this mean stock springs and shocks. Rules usually dictate wheel size and tire size, run the widest tire thats legal. Best...

What exactly is your tire rule, have you tried going harder in just the feature. Also if its a radial, they will never know you cut it if you dont camber cut it. If its a racing tire, all you can do...

Too much rubber on the tire, the heat is boiling the oil in the rubber and causing the blistering. Either cut some of the rubber off of your tire or put a seasoned tire on the car. Definitely do not...

You are a waste of time....LOL.

LOL, i promise you, you dont wanna compare notes on what your setups have won versus mine. But its not about that... you dont have to say it directly to me... you say it constantly to everyone else...

Didnt say you had to Jeff, but not everyone runs the same type of car as you, the same type of engine as you, and the same type of tire as you..... Your stuff isnt the be all to end all! You are the...

It really depends on the car, the driver, and the racetrack. The sharpness of the corner will greatly influence the pendelum effect, also the type of tire and how easy side bite can be obtained from...

if you need this much lowering block, you are probably sprung to stiff.

The longer wheelbase will slow the reaction time of the car. Also the malibu is a narrower chassis which in turn has more body roll. Which is better is more a matter of driving style and track...

yep should have won both classes, won bomber, ran second in hobby by a fender......but got dqed in hobby because we overlooked the lf tire not having spec stamped on it. Even though the tire gave us...

EAMS state race results
winner of bomber = double hump motor
winner of hobby = vortecs with big valves
Just as I predicted, and the bomber winner was running laps within 2 tenths of the hobby...

its all in the head work and the cam, forget about all the other parts.
the machinist that knows what they are doing with the valve job and a really good cam will win the races with these rules.

You misunderstood what i was trying to say stock car driver, I should have went into deeper explanation. The majority of heads you will find in the junkyards with 1.94/1.50 valves are already cracked...
-
did your vortecs have 1.94/1.50 valves though
and on his weekly rules, he is on a .460 lift hydraulic rule
both will highly limit the advantage of the vortec
Plus the vortecs with...

its just like any other ar tire, if you dont overheat it, it will be fine.....just run your normal air pressure, tire is made for a lot of side bite, tall sidewall and narrow tread.
-
you will have a tough time getting rear percentage out of the nova, and a hard time getting forward drive, if you run on a hammer down race track that is smooth the nova would be fine. Once the...
-
had a tire last year go thru 5 rims and two cuts in the sidewall, patched with silicone and kept mounting it on new wheels.....it works....have ran tubes in the past, would work fine with the AR tire...
