More like the opposite of dead.

That is exactly what I plan on doing. I may live 240 miles from the historic Davenport Speedway but I still plan on making 5 or so trips there in '24. And on many other Friday nights I'll be...

That is truly impressive. I had a streak of 8 in a row from 2000-2007 as well as a half dozen Winter Nationals shows from 1992-99 but that pales in comparison to your streak. In 51 years of...

2023 Season: 41 shows at 16 tracks in 3 states. Mason City - 6, Davenport - 5, Lansing, MN - 5, Independence - 4, Dubuque - 3, Webster City - 3, Deer Creek - 2, West Union - 2, Fountain City - 2,...

Are you really that stupid? I've been posting on racing message boards for over 20 years and not one person ever thought I was Ed Sanger...until now. Anybody that's read my posts over time knows...

Blah blah blah. You are a fool and always have been.
-
It inspires confidence in those of us that attend Davenport's weekly shows.

Definitely won't be better but if it's like it was when Wags ran it for all those years I can live with that. If Mr. Webb is racing there on Friday nights...I'll still be there 4-5 times a year.

Yes Roger was one of Iowa's best in the '70s and '80s. First time I saw him run was at Cresco, Iowa in 1975 where he swept twin late model features in the blue #51. Also watched him win two Miller...

I assumed someone would step up to run it. If Davenport in 2024 is even half as good as it was under the Kay's it will still be (not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word)...

I attend 45-50 races a year in person and that is all the money I spend on watching racing. I do watch free clips or videos on Facebook Live or wherever but that is all.

UMP National Champ that year was Gary Webb...in 1985 also.
-
Mr. Smooth will be there.

Billy Moyer has Davenport on his schedule. Come on Mother Nature...give us a break.

In September 2006 I made the long haul to Aledo Raceway in Aledo, Illinois for a LM special and I am I ever glad I did. It was just a racy little bullring all night long - witnessed an entertaining...

To me the best regional series is the SLMR Hoker Trucking East or Malvern Bank West. Consistently good car counts, good formats and mostly good racetracks.

Thanks for all the schedules you post on here, HoosierDirtFan. Much appreciated!

Photo was taken October 14, 1990 at the rescheduled (a couple times) World 100. Bloomer did win with the bad wrist. Runner-up Tom Helfrich was pretty amazed after the race that he was beaten by a...

I remember that day. October 1990...my first World 100 and what a race it was.

June 27th at Mason City, Iowa should be a good one. SLMR boys put on a great show at the new and improved track in August.
-
Never got the pleasure of seeing Ernie run, but my all-time hero in racing is a guy that used to race against him and all the top Midwest drivers and that's Mert Williams. The most memorable...

Used to follow that series quite a bit from about 1990-2001. We called it the Kosiski Benefit Tour because of the dominance of the brothers from Omaha. What a great series started by Iowan Jim...
