If you are running a powerglide direct drive without the converter You will either have to use the kick down or passing gear lever to apply the low gear band and reverse clutches or your valve body...

Anyone have any experience in running the tall(stock height) 5 1/2" front racing springs versus the same rate 9 1/2" tall 5 1/2" racing spring using a spring spacer? Just wondering if the car reacts...

I didn't ask what stock springs were, I asked about the difference between 9 1/2 springs using a spacer and a tall spring of the same rate without a spacer. Thanks in advanced..

Have also seen the exhaust blowing on the fuel line causing vapor lock too...

Either sucking a fuel line shut or pickup in the cell is sucking on the side of the cell.. I have also seen the element style fuel filter have the element installed backwards...

Got to remember that 3/4 or 1 ton usually have better braking also over the 1/2 ton trucks..
