I always recommend the Holiday Inn in LeRoy, just up I-74 from Farmer City. Clean, quiet, and typically not as much for a room as some of the other places. I'm also the "fan" that just buys a...

I hope the series gains some traction (no pun intended). James is a great guy and the tracks in that neck of the woods provide for some great racing.

I'm not certain, but just guessing..what you're seeing with the LF is a combination of the LF being tethered and the car rolling onto the RR (so the LF isn't actually in contact with the surface at...

Has anyone ever been told what an entry fee pays for? Or what that money is supposed to go towards? I ask because, I assume the answer would be something like "registration" which usually takes one...

^^^ I agree. I wouldn't even hesitate to say he's got to have one of, if not the "cleanest" operations out there (in every sense of the word). But a rookie?

I didn't see it coming. It's too bad, while the cars were as vanilla as you could get the racing was decent at times (at least worth tuning in for). And the stands looked packed wherever they went....

Hate to hear that. I've only ran there once, and that was quite a few years ago, but the atmosphere was awesome. I've wanted to get back, but it's a 7 hour trek for me. And with the car counts as...

I use the same aluminum I make the body out of. I also saw a car for sale that had plexiglass instead.

There's two different Toilet Bowl Classics now (two weekends in a row)?
-
Yes! East Moline, Sycamore and Red Hill. Looking forward to it.

Picked up a used beadlock. It looks to be in pretty decent shape but unfortunately leaks between the halves. For anyone who has resealed a two-piece wheel, are there any special considerations? Such...

^^^ Gauge is still reading from the back of the block, and I didn't even think about that, And yes, I like the idea of the Peterson set-up but haven't heard of many guys using it, which led me to...

Filter is a Wix 57007R, which has the larger inlet but apparently no anti-drain back valve. And maybe the inlet size shouldn't matter as the pressure hose is an AN-12 anyways. I'll admit I am an...

Technically a powertrain question, but thinking it'll get more attention here:
I make a habit of turning my engine over (no ignition) to "prime" the oil system before I start it. Will crank it in...

I checked my 2015 LXT (Gen-X front end), and it is 17 7/8" c-c. I had a 2013 Gen-X and a 2007 Smackdown, and I recall those being the same dimension.

If I understand what you are replacing (strut cross member), yes, the distance should match the holes where the lower arms mount behind the R&P. They should be square as well. I know you can get a...

I've had the privilege of racing at 35 on the list (not necessarily for a SN race), of which 8 are no longer in action. There's at least a couple more in Illinois I'd like to get to before all is...

I'm still amazed at how the kid was just another NASCAR driver until his suspension, and now we can't get enough of him. Seems to win everything in sight, and I couldn't be happier for him in light...

Years back, I remember seeing Bloomer's guys going to the outside of the back straight near the tunnel and showing him lap times on a large board. Made sense so he could see if a change in his line...

A bit off topic, so I apologize, but what the heck is going on with the LF fenders on these cars now? I haven't been out to watch in person yet this year, but from what I've seen on-line, there are...

Got home in time to catch the last 7 laps of the feature. Dennis doing Dennis like things. Nice job on the win!
-
Sorry to hear that. Raced against him some back in the old Northern Allstars days. I think he skipped Florence one weekend, went to Brownstown instead, and won. My condolences to his friends and...

There's something similar we used to do. Unfortunately a picture would be best (but is well beyond my capabilities on this site). In describing it, though, drop a plum-bob off the zerk of each lower...

I was definitely saddened to see this. My condolences to his friends and family.

Gary Stuhler was always that guy for me. It seemed no matter what series visited Hagerstown (and probably other tracks in that area), Gary still took home the check.
