Our 17 uses a 1/2 longer lower ball joint on the rf. I would just call BD to confirm they will tell you.

We run a 10 to the pump and an 8 back to the tank.

Brad talking about why people are putting the disconnect on the negative. That is the way the rule is written in the fastrack series. I don't agree with that and believe the master disconnect should...
-
This is a loaded question. Everyone who is not winning thinks everyone else is cheating. Is there cheating going on? Of coarse has been since the first rule book for racing was written. In most...

You only need to use it once to justify the cost.

I've always looked at this way, I can buy oil and filters cheaper than I can engines. I tend to lean to the conservative side on oil changes it is never to early.
-
May not be your problem but this is what I ran into. I had a starter the gear would stay pushed out. You could push it in but it would come right back out. Figured this was normal, figured the idle...

we always ran the evac system on our cars (the ones to the header) until they disallowed it on the crate engines. The only suggestion I would make. I would use aluminum or copper tubing instead of...
-
keeping the radiator clean. One thing I do every couple of weeks is take the radiator out. Fill up one of those little kiddie pools and soak the radiator for a day. Take the hose and spray the fins...

I will say this about running an outer beadlock on the left rear. About a month ago I told my son we should run a beadlock on the lr just in case you get turned the wrong way. A week later some...

No performance gain but running the plastic or aluminum covers is very important if you race on a track with a heavy cushion. If you are just running the foam or nothing at all the chances of getting...

3 1/2 inches rf and lf. Easiest thing to use is cut a 2X4 about 6 inches long. Adjust your coilover nut until the 2X4 (actually 3 1/2") fits between lower control arm and chassis.

This question along with a what spring question will have a million different answers. None wrong or right although it will get argued. You just need to try some different combos and see what works...

We run a good shroud, fan half in half out pretty tight circle. Also we have the nose ducted in to direct air straight to the radiator. It has 2 sides and a a piece that bolts to the bottom of the...

We just cut 2 blades off an allstar fan works nice. We do go back to the four blade GM when it starts getting hot because the 2 blade flirts with running hot. I am talking around end of july/august...

That's good info Brad. I can confirm that the bronze tipped fuel pump pushrod will wear out in a 602. We chased a fuel pressure issue for 2 weeks a couple of seasons ago because of it.

Never looked at that just used a good name brand. Years ago I was mixing it half gear oil half ATF. Then just decided to try straight ATF and never looked back. Maybe we were just lucky. All I know...
-
Just a stock saginaw 3 speed we have ran them with just ATF for years never a problem. A transmission run through high gear does not generate enough heat to hurt anything.

automatic transmission fluid

Like 7up said all you should have to do is cut an inch off tie rods it should be fine. Either the impala spindles are not gonna work with this set up or you have the wrong drag link.
-
They are really flexible and will allow your trailing arms to travel much like a monoball. If I were doing another metric car and monoballs were not allowed I would definitely use the seals-it...
-
When we were running a metric car we ran some from Seals-IT. You can get them from speedway or probably your local parts guy. I would insist on the Seals-It brand, Speedway sold some cheaper ones...
-
We ran an Exide I really liked and never had a problem with till a bump up poked a whole in it. Replaced with a blue top Optima after a faulty red top. Also we never charge we run an alternator.
-
This is something you hear all the time in dealing with crates. Like Chris said what is the fuel rule in your series are you running the absolute best allowed? If not that can get you smoked on...
