what is the benefit of lowering the j bar on both sides. does it give you more foreward bite?

this is a tight quarter mile track

ill have to measure to be exact tonight but i think its 9 inches on frame and centered on pinion.. 9 inch rear g60 with 2 inches roll out on rear 1 inch on front. spring and shock behind on lr 4 bar....
