This happened to me several years ago.....it ended up being the fault of the heads, one head was not clearanced enough where the pushrods passing thru the head they would rub and bind, without...

Does any body know where to get headers for 351 Cleveland 4v heads to fit either a mod or street stock car? Prefer 1 7/8ths tubes.

I can get you a new bare pair for 1,200. Can also finish them off for you as they are semi-unfinished when new out of the box. I have done 6 pairs in the last 2 years.

Try a 383 combo with a 9.5 block 6.250 rod, 3.75 stroke. Kind of the best of all worlds, not as hard on the main webbing as a 4
" plus stroker and revs faster too.
