Guys around here run around 140 LR BITE. Best rear % I have seen is about 49.5. We cannot add lead or heavy materials.
-
And it's attached to your lowest hole on accelerator?
-
Ok, definitely go up in rear %. 53 would be a great start. It's also got a lot of left side weight, good for asphalt, not really dirt. 150 LR bite. If you have weight jacks, getting the weight right...

One thing to consider on the suspension side of it. The stiffer the spring the more load that it is going to have and also will affect the other corner(example: if a LR spring goes up in lbs, the RF...
-
Another thought. Try to exit the corner straight. No input in the wheel when exiting corner. Helps both wheels in rear hookup.

There should be two resivours on a stock brake master cylinder. Spongey pedal is most likely air in brake system. Re-bench bleed master, then bleed the rest starting with the furthest away caliper....
-
Now I don't run a metric, but I have heard a few things some are doing. So here it goes. One guy runs a inch taller LR spring sometimes 250-300 rate. Another thing I personally realized that seemed...

Is your throttle linkage setup right? Does the pedal have a lot of play? I drove a car once to give some setup advice that the throttle was kinda "all or nothing" in the terms of modulation. Gave him...

Finished a race with half the sidewall split on a DOT tire. Ran tubes in g60 Hoosiers. For the most part I got good life out of them. I have had a few rears go flat though. Lots of baby powder and...

The higher the lead. The more the car will want to roll. Hence more transfer weight. Best for slick tracks.
-
Lowering blocks can change ride height and move weight around similar to weight jacks. Most lowering blocks I see are 2 1/2 on LEFT, 2in on RR. but you can experiment with that.
-
Fuel full, stock mount, front-rear won't work. Thanks for the reply
-
I'll try and keep this short. I'm looking for some more forward bite when the track goes black. I run a 78 camaro leaf car. spring rates are as follows LF1000 RF 1200 LR 200 RR 175. Car is about 3200...

:UPDATE: I went to a practice Wednesday night. Track was black the last 3 sessions.Changed a few things. Went to a 175 rr and a 200 LR. Opened up stagger across rear to 2 in., wow, what a difference....

Yes, I am too curious to hear this racer96m. I forgot this was for stock cars. For I have not really experimented with a stiff compression LR shock. Was wondering what to expect?
-
Yes, a bite shock is a high number rated on compression shock. It's only effective when the the suspension is in its downward travel off the corner. If you put a softer shock in the LR for instance....
-
It's rated comp/reb 5/3. It's new and has been checked very recently
-

It's funny you mention that about the spring. This car has seemed to defy logic since day one. But I didn't mention that the old RF spring was rated at 1200 but checks to about 1100 and its 2 seasons...

Some things I should go over. No lead or added weight.cannot change stock mounting locations. I do consider myself a smooth and consistent driver.i never "throw it in" I do all my braking straight...
-
Mabey your rotors are warped? Are you braking when this happens?

LF 802 ,RF 817, LR 887, RR 714, BITE 173, 49.8 rear, 52.9 cross

Thanks for the reply. I have confirmed that I am not bottoming out from the zip tie I have on the RF shock shaft and no paint chipped on lowers or frame. I replaced the RF spring back to a 1200 had...
-
I have a similar setup spring wise except my front springs are a bit stiffer. Here is what has worked well for some time. Rated compression/rebound. LF40/40 RF 50/30 LR 30/40 RR 30/30. I'm guessing...
