That was my point Ego, they were allowed for some of the older heads b/c of bad machining or whatever it was - but you still have to know what you have and if you shim it that increases spring...

@FAH-Q.... spring pressure on a 604 should be around a 100 and they give you around 5 lbs to play with, so 105 Max..... if its lazy off the corner throw some gear to it-put a 6800 chip in the MSD

If your rearend is apart just count the teeth

4:86 = Pinion gear has 7 teeth, Ring has 34
