To build on mastersbilt_racer point about how it is an unneeded rule. Let’s say it is better than independent front. Add up the costs of an independent front suspension. For the costs of a set of...

Just like MB said, yes it will but I do caution that it will not give you the direct spring rate. It will give you the load measured at the location you put it on. Ie motion ratio, angle all of...

For the record the transponder location is (or at least last time I seen the rules) located on the left front lower frame rail directly behind the bumper mount. Which fails to account for the...

As a driver, and not a big name, this seems like it could be very humbling to see your name in the bargain bin...

What is everybody using this year? I have been a strong VP late model plus guy but its pretty steep these days, anybody run Base or Sunoco and like it?
-
Rules require a lip at the top.

Wehrs, and I am sure others makes a nice 1" wheel spacer just like the 2", separate set of studs. Better option that running long studs and spacers.

I would go to an SHP block, I have one in my steel block limited car. It has held up well and is pretty light for an iron block. I have never used PBM blocks, but dart has a great reputation.

It was wheatland, the tire was pointed hard left the whole b main and he stomped them.

I did a jd2, model 32. Then used swag off-road for the ram upgrade and a digital angle finde. Love it.

I guess I fail to see a problem. Right now a guy can live the dream, the crowd can show up at 3 and see some guys try to make a name for themselves. If you want a shorter race night, go down to...

Ultraforce has new models coming out at the dome and PRI. Including automated and improved displays. Will be in the Wehrs machine booth.

I like the PCD cars myself, drove one this summer a few times was very happy with it.

I also have never seen a rule book allow anything other than a 1.5” bar in the doors.
My 99 Swartz had reverse mount struts on it.

Yes, it was the welders fault, but showed the flaw in chromoly in that people can easily screw it up.

I am confused and want to know so I can check my own car. Which bar was the rule change on? The door bars have always been 1.5" tubing, same as main hoop. I don't remember a bar behind the driver...

I have not been a fan of the chromoly chassis, other than rocket which seemed to have a good reputation. Local guy had a major name brand mod chassis at the time, which is still in business. It was a...

I am a stickler, nobody is drilling a hole on any tube on the car. Not to mention unless you had a hole on every bar your checking it makes no sense. They make non distructive testing methods, we...

What should one expect to pay for track rental? Is it a few hundred or a few thousand...

Yes racing is expensive but another thing to remember is that for many guys racing a late model at a national level means getting beat badly 95% of the time and traveling days out of the week. Racing...

This is another area where having a crew comes into play. Most the big guys have real crews, but many local or even regional guys it’s whomever they can talk into coming tonight. Something to keep in...
