My mustang clutch disc is 8.5 in. diameter and the escort disc is 7 7/8 in diameter. Will the larger mustang disc and pressure bolt up and work?

If I used the escort flywheel with my T5 what TOB ,pressure plate and clutch disc should I use?

I would try the 3.08 rear gear with your tranny in the car first. If that's still too much gear then go with the 2.14 trans and 3.27 rear gear.

Have you thought about using a T5. The 4cyl models come with 2.14, 2.34 or 2.37 2nd gear ratios. The V8 transmissions have 1.93, 1.94 and 1.99 2nd gear ratios. The input shaft has to be turned down...

How often do the valve springs need to be replaced? Our car is raced every week on a 1/4 mile paved oval. It is a 2300 mustang fox body with an Esslinger hyd cam. The motor turns 7200 rpms.

I don't race on dirt any more but I think the 214 trans and 327 rear would be a good combination to start off with.

I've heard '89 and up the lower right a-arm is longer. I don't know for sure but maybe someone on here can answer if it's true.

Anyone ever try running a V8 T5 tranny? Did you have the imput shaft turned down to 4cyl specs or did you run a custom pilot bushing? Just wondering because the V8 trans had alot more second gear...
