Here's what I do: just click on: their name, view profile, and add to ignore list.
Once everyone does that, they have no one to talk to, and they get bored and they'll troll away under another...
-
Why would it hurt? (not being argumentative, just trying to understand where you're coming from)
Personally, I think its a good thing any time you can put something like this together, and execute...

its just a piece of paper... thats the whole point of this conversation.

That's awesome! I suppose you know this, but... depending on where you bought it, it may have already had the break-in done. I don't know what you tell you, but I know in production engines there is...
-
Just some food for thought
1. the 400hp advertised output is a brand new (green) engine, on pump gas, the break-in cycle alone will increase output
2. after the GM spec break-in cycle mine made...

Mullins got what they wanted though, everyone talking about them right before PRI.
-
They should probably be teching what's in the fuel instead of under the hood. Regardless, up here in Michigan everything gets teched in IMCA, often they like to throw in their own rules and tech even...

my 2008 or 2009 was #608 so I think its reasonable that is an 11 or 12, I think I have a setup sheet for it if you need one... but that car was really fast, I wouldnt change a thing.

set of four ceramic coated Ti brake rotors
(2) 1.25" thick floating rotors with mount keys
(2) .25" thick direct mount rotors
These are super lightweight and trick, you can get the correct pads...

Unfortunately I dont have time to dyno my new crate this week before I run it, does anyone have an ignition timing recommendation for a 604 crate on methanol?
-
-
and the same week as the IMCA supernationals... I'll keep and eye on it.
-
I thought about that... a lot. The list of parts that needs replaced to build a legal mod motor from it adds up pretty fast.
-
I'm getting out of the sprints and into modifieds, have a great pair of engines that would treat someone really well. Willing to trade for similar value UMP modified engines.
2 complete ASCS 360...

I hold my own at my local track, won a few heats, run top 5's... can transfer out of B-mains at will if needed. This will be my first season focused on the IMCA mod, I ran a couple different classes...
-
This is strictly semantics at this point, but that's not an answer to the question regarding an advantage to either engine combination. That's an answer to what does it take to win races... and I...
-
That's a good point in regards to the mix of engines, I dont have any idea what that is like across the country.
If there weren't the 50# penalty I would just buy a crate, but I dont want to...
-
I'm onboard with that logic, its really the basis of my question, but the proof I trust is in results. What is happening in the races we've seen in NM and AZ so far?
FWIW I have no problem...
-
seems to work, CMS gets ~30cars a night...
so same question... does the crate still seem to have an advantage without the spoiler?
(not a rhetorical question, I really want to know)
-
FWIW in Michigan the crate motor never got a spoiler, AND has to add 50lbs of lead in front of the motor plate... and a crate won 8 races at the best prepared track in the state. Open motors won more...
-
Now that we have a few races in this season, is the crate still appearing to be an advantage even without the spoiler? I havent been able to tell from the results who has crates or open motors.

what t-bar are you guys running with the 8:1 or 6:1 boxes? I feel like mine is a little heavy at mid-corner.
-
What p/s pump and pulley ratio do you guys run with a 6:1?
I want to run a KSE tandem pump, but I'm not sure if they can perform well enough for the 6:1 box.
