It really had to do with zoning more than anything. Pissed of The old man and he said fine we won't race in town then. I think everyone in town there is a racer.

If I remember correctly, they wanted to move and expand their scrap yard, but zoning issues didn't allow it so they tore the track out to expand their scrap yard. Something to that effect anyway.
