Do adjustable guide plates need to be welded?
-
I broke down and bought a set of Johnson's. problem solved.
Thanks!!

I was having problems and bought the Johnson's. If I were to buy something different, I would go with the isky short travel ones.
-
How much pre-load are you running? If the plunger comes up and hits the retainer it could break or come out. Johnson says minimun of .035 preload which is 1/2 turn on a 3/8 stud.
-
Johnson if you can afford them. I've had problems with Lunati and 84000-16 Comp race lifters. Sealed Power HT-817 work fine but I would change out the wire snap rings with something heavier.
-
I've tried from zero to 1/2 turn pre-load. The only reason I am thinking this is because this I have these exact lifters in 2 different motors and both are acting the same way. I've never noticed the...

I believe I am having lifter bleed down problems. I'm trying to chase down a problem with not being able to get any RPM after the engine warms up to temp. Although it sounds like a carb problem, the...

Are there any changes that would help running these on a 602? I've heard of guys adjusting the floats, setting idle mixture screws and idle RPM and racing them. Its hard for me to believe these would...

I've been using the same blue top one for a few years now. Got tired of the standard marine batteries from the parts store going bad after 1-year and them not replacing it under warranty.

I'm assuming your talking about a Harris dirt modified that was built in Iowa.......8-3/4" offset on both sides. If your having issues with not getting enough camber in the left front, Southwest...

Need a starter to fit a 153T flywheel that has a staggered bolt pattern. Preferably a mini torque starter. Need one quick. Anybody got a part number and location where I can get? Thanks!!

2-1/2-3" of travel is enough

Good? Bad? Worth the money? Been running Bob Harris twin tube 19 series shocks.

If you don't run guide plates ...the pushrod might rub against the bottom of the hole where the push rod goes through the head if it isn't enlarged already. Double check that after installing.

Here is what I ran on my '07
Rf
-5 camber
+5 caster
LF
+3 camber
+2 caster

Don't water the track as much and let it dry out for the features. Your crates are getting killed because the big motors are hooking up. Give the crates a 5-8" spoiler and a weight break if need be....

He or someone else must have had something going on last year that called for a rules change / clarification.
8.8 Only one (1) mechanical traction device is permitted. Only one (1) pull bar or...

What type is normally used?

Talked to a guy who said he has been running ATF In his Saginaw 3-speeds for years with no problems......is that possible?
-
I've ran 7200 with .002 lash with no problems.

I you want to loosen on exit, then yes...that should help. I would center the pull bar front to back with the driveshaft first. If that doesn't help enough, move the top mount to the right to give it...

2007 Harris sportmod roller. No engine tranny, gear, driveshaft or seat. Car has 605 steering box, pinto spindles, afco shocks, 16gal fuel cell, all gauges and tach, brake bias, Griffin radiator,...

More angle in the left rear tightens up the car. More angle in the right rear loosens. Don't go over 45deg in the left rear at full travel.

You need to use a Carpice spindle with a 12" rotor. I believe the idler and pitman arms are 7"??. I had a ,95 years ago. The original mounting holes should still be in the frame if you want to use...
