Mullins 23 degree heads are making good hp for 23 degree stuff

Use stroker rods not really lot of grinding but stock blocks wont hold up as good as aftermarket.Plus you need to use small base circle cam.

Jr motorsports sell some rotating assamblies at a good price or cnc out of south dakota allways has good deals. Id make sure i have a good bottom end you can always up grade heads.

Do you know the internals of the engine what heads are on it?If it was in pure stock id imagine it had a mild cam.Id tear it down and see what was in it before i got to excited.

You just tell them 383 400 crank in 350 block ext balanced.

375 aint even close to enough if you want to run up front.Where do they check to tell if its a 400. I seen a guy mill out casting number in back of engine.Then replaced numbers from 350 block little...

Mine did same thing bearing went out of the front of starter.

A plate for 400 still dont know why anybody in rite mind would ext balance a race engine.

I have a engine with 4.175 -3.25 stroke with 6.2 rods and track 1 heads pulls good to 8200 good cheap engine to build for the money.

Build a destroked 400 and twist the hell out of it.

The new crankshaft should have a target bob weight get rods and pistons to match
