8th place run just riding there at the end. Top looked tempting at the end to make some moves but after this ride in the heat and again in the B, he decided to ride it out....

Great thread. I hope some promotors actually read these replies. I think the #1 point is to run a timely show. Get the fans and drivers home by 11 at least. Nothing worse than sitting around...

AT&T is on tower across the road and possibly Verizon. Honestly, i miss the days going up there and be completely disconnected from the rest of the world via phone the entire weekend.

My dad said he went back like 3-4 weekends in a row back in the day before they got it in. But that was before touring series and seemingly a crown jewel every weekend so they could get away with it.

Gimmicks may work better on the big shows rather than at your weekly shows. We pill draw in our Limited Late class each week and cars seemingly get tore up each Saturday due to drivers starting up...
