County Line Raceway Prepares for its 2010 Season Finale

Elm City, NC – It doesn’t seem like nearly nine months ago the season was just beginning at County Line. The season has flown by. With record crowds and car counts this has been a great season not only for the track but the drivers and fans as well.

County Line is scheduled to close out its season with a bang this weekend. This two day show is expected to bring in drivers and fans from all along the east coast. We have heard from drivers and fans interested in this event from Iowa, Ohio, Maryland, New York, Florida, South Carolina, and Virginia just to name a few.

Friday night, November 5, all divisions will have an optional open practice along with the final Thunder & Lightning event of the season. Gates will open at 5:00 pm on Friday with practice starting around 7:30. Grandstand tickets are only $10 for adults and $2 for kids 11-15.

Saturday night is going to be a night you do not want to miss. County Line Races for the Kids – Benefiting the Victory Junction Gang Camp. Late Models will have their biggest purse of the season with $3000 to win. Open Wheel Modifieds will be making their first appearance at the track in over 7 years racing for $1500 to win. Also in action are the ever popular Super Stock Four Cylinders and Pure Stock Four Cylinders. To close out the season, the night’s final event will be a fan favorite, the Demolition Derby. Grandstand admission to Saturday night’s events for adults is $20 and kids 11-15 are $5. Gates open at 2 with practice set to begin around 4:30. For those who arrive early, 98.5 FM, The Big Dawg, is scheduled to have a live remote at the track starting around 2:00.

As a fundraiser for the Victory Junction Gang Camp, the track will be holding fundraisers behind the main grandstand both nights with the proceeds going toward the charity. Also, the track will be selling 50/50 tickets to benefit the camp as well. Drivers will also be taking up donations. For more information on the VJGC, visit their website www.victoryjunction.org/.
