    Default Engine Verification

Bought a 406 today,Has eagle 6" rods, Callies crank and KB .30 domed pistons. I can see the Eagle symbol on the rods,no markings of any kind on crank, and the pistons only have R49 on the underside(no .030 no top of piston. Question is Does Callies mark their crank somehow? Should the pistons have markings other than the R49? I measured the bore on the block with dial calipers and get roughly 4.153. Is this a .030 over block?Block# is 3951511. Thanks for any responses,Eddie

After checking the block #,most all the sites say it is a 4-bolt main, but I have a 2-bolt main.

Roll the crank around until you can see the front of the first counterweight for the crank markings.
Yes your block is .030 over.

Would I need to take the main cap off to see them? As right now I cant see anything in that area.

Maybe. You should see something on the front counterweight.
