Get the schonefeld over the rail headers. They make them them for metrics with stock firewall.

agreed, best thing we ever put on the car, i hated in chassis headers cant get to plugs, they burn wires, burn up starters, brake lines in stock form they boil the brake fluid and burn out mastercylinders. over rail in my book

I don't recommend Schoenfelds. Mine lasted 17 races the first season and only 4 on the next season of racing. They have so many cracks in them. They are just so thin.

spend thr money and get them coated, i have 60+ races on my schoenfelds and they look like new, they cost twice as much, but imo well worth the money (not mention a hp or two)

Speedway motors sells some stuff called Black Satin for coating headers at home.Sandblast the headers then spray it on with a touch up gun. It's not as good as the ceramic coating but it does cut down on heat under the hood.We got about 2 years out of our headers. It sells for around $35 and will do 3 sets.

i run schoenfelds and dont have an issue with cracking. i think part of the problem is if they are allowed to sit and rust. my car is either in an enclosed trailer or in the shop and i race 3 nights a week and they dont rust or crack. i have approx 80 nights on 1 set and plan on running then next year.

I must have gotten the good ones. Mine were new fall of 2002, almost never sits inside and have been rusty for several years now. No problems if the bolts are checked every month or so.
