Saturday's GMP World Crown racing slate will feature the first-ever World Crown 125 Pro Late Model race paying $7000 to win, a 75-lap GMP Truck Series race, and 40-lap Mini Stock World Crown championship events.
Sunday's World Crown 300 gets underway when the gates open at 12 noon. The finals of the Funopolis FanTastic Showdown and a concert by the Jefferson High School Marching Band are set for 1 p.m. with Opening Ceremonies at 1:30 p.m. The green flag on the 27th-Annual World Crown 300 will fly at 2 p.m. Eastern Sunday. The World Crown super late model feature pays $20,000 to win.

Some World Crown entrants (with PR people):
Paul Kelley, the only four-time winner, is one of the latest drivers to enter the 27th-Annual World Crown 300 classic. The 2001, 2006, 2007 and 2009 'King of the Short Tracks' was at GMP earlier this week testing.
Kelley goes into this year's 'Crown' with a new team - Richard Senter's RS Trucking Motorsports. Kelley has started only a handful of races this year - all in The Blizzard Series at Five Flags (FL) Speedway. A Paul Kelley Video Interview - http://www.youtube.com/user/greshammp http://www.z3sports.com
Mason Dixon Meltdown 200 Winner and PASS South regular Justin Wakefield and the
Carswell Motorsports #98 are entered. Although the team is located nearby in Woodstock, this will be their first chance to race in Georgia since January and first time to turn laps on the reconfigured Gresham Track.
TJ Reaid, of Acworth, will be doing double duty at this weekend. "We consider Gresham our home track and we are really geared up for a great weekend," said Reaid. Reaid will compete in Saturday evening's Pro Late Model 125 lap event in the Reaid Motorsports Ford Fusion and in Sunday afternoon's World Crown 300 for Super Late Models in the Kyle Busch Motorsports Toyota.
Reaid has competed in a few events at Gresham Motorsports Park in 2010 and hasn't faired well. "We've had some great runs there (formally Peach State Speedway) with the Georgia Asphalt Series in the past and we know we have the ability to turn things around this weekend," added Reaid
Chase Elliott has guaranteed starting spots in both weekend races, earned by wins at the track in 2010. Last week Elliott got a fifth-place finish in the USAR Pro Cup Strutmasters.com 300 at South Boston (VA) Speedway, his third top-five finish in the past four USAR Pro Cup Championship events. He's served notice that he and his Red Bull team will be a formidable outfit in the 2011 season. He also has a second-place run at Greenville-Pickens and another fifth-place finish at Bristol Motor Speedway.
