If you do upgrade to the 7AL box MAKE SURE YOU USE THE CORRECT COIL, as it was initially designed for short duration racing. MSD is pushing the HVC boxes for dirt now.

If your going with the MSD 7al2 you will want the MSD 8251 coil to get everything out of the box. If you want to go with the HVC box that the Nascar kids use, it is the MSD 6632 with a MSD 8250 coil. The HVC box has the foot print of a MSD 6al with the output of the MSD 7al2. We have been converting customers that run the MSD 6al package over to the HVC stuff for two years with great results. It allows you some more tuning ability over the MSD 6al so you can get everything out of the engine program. I can get the HVC stuff used from the local Nascar crowd if your interested. Hope this help you, And Remember To Keep It In The Blue Goove!
