Question first gen vs. second gen camaro

Is their any advantage to using a first gen (67-69) camaro clip with the rear slung steering versus the second gen (70-81) that has the steering box out front? Im trying to think outside the box and i figured the steering box moved rearward couldn't hurt the weight ratios.

We always ran 68-74 Nova's which share the same clip with first Gen Camaro's. Our experience was that this layout performed better than front steer of later models. Also according to Randy Sweet rear steer has better geometric potential, however rear steer tends to be more fragile than front steer.
