    Default Brake Callipers

    Saw this on ebay....

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Wilwo...-/160518480980

What are peoples thoughts on calipers? are wilwoods as good as anything (not necessarily these ones), or is there a big advantage with US brake etc?

They both make good stuff. I have had great experience with Wilwood tech support. If you have ANY question about their systems, you can call them and they'll set you straight.

probably gonna be hard to find any info on that caliper as it looks like a knock-off . In my opinion you have three choices- Wilwood, Us Brake, or Brakeman, thats about it anything else is a shot in the dark .

I would think brembo, alcon, red devil and performance friction would also make something acceptable.....

Ive seen on some cars the front calipers mounted on the front of the spindle. Whats the difference between that and where they regularly are on the back of the spindle?

Brake caliper location has no handling effects on the car. It applies a force to the rotor the exact same no matter how it is mounted. The reason people would want to do one on the front is if you use the mounts for the brake to brace the steering arm or the other way around to make a lighter overall caliper. there is no different on how it males the forces in on the ball joints or with the tire react.

    Another question...

Is there anything different apart from price on US Brake, Speedway Motors and Wilwood Rotors???

I am guessing US Brake And Speedway are made in the same place, same material aswell???
