The off-season tradition returns, and preperations are underway for: The Indy Circle Track Expo 11, Swap Meet * Trade Show * Auction, January 29, 2011 @ the Indiana State Fairgrounds in Indianapolis, IN!


THE SHOW

It's one of the biggest shows of it's kind in the entire country, and by far the biggest show in the entire Midwest!! Last year's Indy Circle Track Expo had just over 400 booth spaces (in 2 buildings), with vendors from 13 different (Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, North Carolina, Ohio, South Dakota, Tennnessee, West Virginia, and Wisconsin (and oddly enough, 2 with the name Arizona, but they're not from there)! This Swap Meet and Trade Show, and Auction will bring together local racers, professional racers, racing business's (manufacturers & dealers), race tracks, and sanctioning bodies all under 1 (well 2 actually) massive roof(s)! Last year, the 67,000 Sq. ft. Champions Pavilion sold-out the show for the 9th year in a row!! Don't miss out!!

THE AUCTION

Consignments are now being accepted by our NEW AUCTIONEER! That's right, we now have a new Auctioneer for our 3rd annual Racers Auction, and they are as excited about the potential growth of this show as we are! The second building, Hall "A" of the South Pavlion (just about 40 yards out the back door of the "Champions"), will again house this event! This Auction is open to anyone who wishes to consign any racing related item, part, car, whatever! For time constraint reasons, this Auction will have a limited # of lots, so don't delay!
Racing Auction specialists, MCS Auctions will be conducting the Auction. And we do mean specialists.. Owner/Auctioneer Maria Vannice was mentored by none other than Charlie Sentman, and proudly carries over that experience to her own Auctions!! Plus, Danny Irvin has been in the auction business for 35+ years. He is an avid race fan and knows race parts as well. Danny works side by side with Maria to coordinate and implement a well organized Auction.
The "Racers Auction" is scheduled to start @ approx. 1:00. Also of note: The Auction is open to any and all who wish to consign, and for our vendors, there will be some "Last Ditch" consignment slots open for you as well!! Just in case you don't want to take something back home !!!

THE INDIANA OPEN WHEEL AWARDS

We are very excited to announce that this year during the Indy Circle Track Expo, we will be hosting a presentation for the Indiana Open Wheel Awards!! It’s kind of a “Viewer’s Choice” award for Racers, as it is voted by Fans, and fellow Racers! Categories include: Manufacturer of the Year (oty), Media Member oty, Midget Driver oty, Most Improved Driver oty, Promoter oty, Rookie oty, Sprint Car Driver oty, Team oty, and Track oty.

Voting Ends January 2nd!!!

THE FEUD

The Beast Race Cars "Circle Track Feud" Presented by Racin' W/D.O. and H.A.R.F., returns for another attempt at Game Show Infamy! The Mechanics, vs. the Legends, vs. The Current Heroes format will once again be in play! Last year's winner, Dave Darland walked away with his first victory of the 2010 season, and promptly donated the winnings to the Vogler Scholarship Fund! Once again this year, each Celebrity Panelist will be playing for more than just bragging rights, they'll actually be playing for $400, which will then be donated to the charity of their choice!! The kings of historical knowledge on all things fast, will be returning!.. Indianapolis Motor Speedway Historian Donald Davidson and www.openwheeltimes.com Kevin Eckert will be tossing out the Questions & Points, in this battle for "mental" supremacy!! Also returning to help keep the train somewhat on the track, will be www.jackslash.com 's Sean Buckley!!
As in years past, we will be utilizing some Legends of the sport, as well as some of today's heroes! We have been fortunate to have some of the finest in the business, grace our stage over the the years, and this year will be no different!

While the Mechanics/Car Builers Team line-up is set with Bob East , Joe Devin , and Steve "The Bopper" Stapp , it’s high time we start bringing in some competition!
The Legends Team, so far, consists of Johnny Parsons (with 2 more to TBA's), and the "Current Heroes" Team will be led by the defending "Feud" Champion, Dave Darland with help from Joey Saldana!
This week, we are happy to round out the "Current Heroes" Team, with a current champion... AS IN THE NATIONAL USAC CHAMPION!! Oh, and he won the USAC Midget Championship too... BRYAN CLAUSON! Bryan will be going for yet another prestigious championship by trying to win the 3rd annual "Circle Track Feud"!

The Legends still have 2 more contestants, keep checking back for those announcements!!
