If this is your first trip to Screven plan on eating at the track. Reasonably priced, a huge menu (normally), speedy service, plenty of room to sit, & tasty.

    Thumbs up

I was just looking on the website of WTOC out of Savannah, and they've only got a 20% chance of "r" on Saturday, for Savannah and surrounding areas (of which Screven County is one of).

    Race is on Thursday though.

Here is what they said this morning, rain Thursday night into Friday and finishing off Saturday morning. Its all going to be in the timing. The storm will be coming out of the gulf also, so thats never good.

IMO they should make the call to start earlier if needed to beat the rain. Maybe eliminate qualifying and just go to a pill draw to save time.

1 day left!!!! I just watched my local weather(Augusta, Ga) which is also Screvens local weather and they are saying right now its a 40% chance of rain. It has changed 5 times in the last 2 days so who knows what it will be.

Most handling problems can be solved by adjusting the screw-ball. It can be difficult to fine tune at times. Explaining yourself loudly and striking it on top of the helmet with a dead blow hammer usually works well.

Rain has pushed out today. Practice should be a go. However, tomorrow is now up to 80% chance of rain, and those going to GIS, 80% Friday as well.

  19. #79

    Question

Looks pretty bad now...I see several 80% chances on different sites moving in around 2pm Thursday...that's a shame...I'm not going to risk it but I hope the best of luck to all that do...if you could just get a 3hr window they may squeeze it in...Friday doesn't look any better...Saturday mite be possible...

Unfortunately they got one shot at it. With GIS running the next 2 days and Sunday being the travel day to Florida. Everyone needs to sign up for their "Rained Out" updater. Nice to see that system work. Just sucks it might be on the first race of the season.
