Default Race-1 Offers GM CT525 Super LM Motor for $6960.

Race-1 Offers GM CT525 Super Late Model Motor for $6960!

(MARS PA) – Super Late Model race teams will have a full range of motor options in 2011 at UFo Race Championship events and at the weekly races at UFo supertracks. UFo competitors may choose an unlimited aluminium block motor, an open steel block motor, a cost-effective spec motor or the newest option to Super Late Model racing, the economical GM CT525 motor. The goal of the UFo Race Championship is to allow teams to utilize the motor which best fits their budget and racing style, while allowing all motors to be equally competitive on the track.

Race-1 of Poland, OH has secured discount pricing with General Motors on the new GM CT525. This motor may be purchased from Race-1 for only $6,960. Another additional $1,800 of external add-ons that are specific to the GM CT525 boost performance, in addition to traditional external parts such as carburetor, fuel pump, flywheel, etc. that would be required with any motor purchase.

The GM CT525 motor is a true Super Late Model motor. This all-aluminum motor is rated at 525 hp, which can be boosted with the recommended external add-ons. The CT525 is sealed and no internal modifications are permitted, which keeps a price-control on the motor. The motor is similar to the LS3 V-8 that is standard in the Corvette, but has been adapted to circle track racing with a carbureted manifold, racing camshaft, 8-quart racing oil pan and more. The motor is lightweight, allowing the weight break that it receives in UFo competition to be obtainable.

The GM CT525 has already seen success in the South and Midwest. Drivers utilizing this engine package have claimed feature wins in both the Southern All-Stars and NASRA series. This motor will make it possible for more teams to advance and remain in Super Late Model racing long-term.

2011 UFo Super Late Model rules will see unlimited aluminium block motor cars with a 2,250 pound minimum weight and open steel blocks cars with a 2,200 pound minimum weight. Both of those motor types will be allowed an 8” standard spoiler. The spec motor will have a minimum weight of 2,200 with a 12” spoiler, 12” side spoilers, and a nose spillboard, except at PPMS where the weight limit will be 2,250 due to track aerodynamics. The new GM CT525 motor will be allowed a minimum weight limit of 2,150 pounds with a 14” length, 12” high spoiler, 14” side spoilers and the nose spillboard. Based on the success of the limited-power spec motor with its weight and spoiler breaks, the GM CT525 should see equal success in competition this year.

Race-1 is located at 299 East Western Reserve Road in Poland, OH. Phone contact is 330-540-7223 and the official website is http://www.race-1.com. Race-1 has years or experience with the limited late model GM sealed motors and is dedicated to being part of the revitalization of the Super Late Model division in the region with their support of the new GM CT525 motor.

I just wonder how things had changed since this topic had been created. General Motors still remains top automotive giant, and it has real fans all over the world. I had been a client of general motors customer service for some time, and I have to say I got only the best impressions.
