If you have the S7 spindle setup, you can run a little softer as compared to the older spindles.
We have also found that motor makes a difference. Meaning the weight of the motor.
Matt49, Have you ran a car with the new front end.If so what are the a-frame lenths used with this set up and what positive or negitive things did it do as far as handling

We're switching to S7 this season so I can't tell you the positives or negatives from experience but Keith tells me it's "better" :-)
The RF lower on the S7 setup is 18 5/8 as compared to the old style stuff which is 17 5/8. The RF upper on the S7 setup is 8 1/4 compared to the old style 7 3/4.
Since the rack doesn't change they changed the steering arms on the spindles which changes ackerman. To my knowledge the LF arm lengths don't change but they are going to put a new upper a-frame support (curved) on our car which will allow for an outboard upper on the left front which I like because we are migrating to screw-in uppers.
Long story short I think the difference is in how roll center migrates and the "wider" setup should simply tighten the car overall.
