    Question Nose Support

This past season was a little rough on the nose. I went through 2 pr. of the stock nose supports. At the end of the year(couple races left) I needed another one for the left side and I didn't feel like buying another pair so we made one out of a piece of 1/8 aluminum that was laying around. Is there any reason folks don't make these out of other materials?

1/8 aluminum is the way to go. you can get them made out of noryl and alum from xd-4 no polyethelene

l.s.g. made the noryl ones for people that like the plastic but noryl is fiber reinforced so its much stronger
    you just got greased

I like the spring steel one the best but sucks when it does finally get bent I found a couple sheets of 1/2" plastic at an auction just cut the with a jig saw to fit and they hold up pretty good and at roughly 50 cents a piece a pretty good bargain too

R.E.M Plastic Racing Products offers lower nose stiffeners for the MD-3 noses that are 1/2 thick poly. They are reasonably priced and you can contact them at 402-694-4569.

It would be nice for R.E.M. to get a website.

I sell splitters off of cup cars for this exact reason they fit well and are strongwer than the bumper if it runs a little up hill when you mount it you will never need another I dont care how hard you hit the wall the splitter will be just fine.
