    Default Tight lash cam???

I've never ran one before. Put a Speedway special in a 6 inch rod 355, 11.5:1, WP S/R heads and this motor won't idle under 1100 rpms. Normal? Cam too big? Will opening up the lash help? Cam specs 252/260 @ .050, .539/.560 lift, lash is .016
    Thanks

When we were running flat tappet cams, we ran a Crower tight lash with roughly 254/262 @ .050 and .607/.586 lift and it idled somewhere in the 1000 rpm range with a Willy's 4412 carb. It would go to 900 but sonded terrible like it was ready to die...

Agree idle should be atleast 11-1200 rpm to keep the cam lubed well at idle.
