Moyer's Trifecta at WWS nets over $18,000

Billy Moyer starts the new season the same as last year by winning three events at the Wild West shootout. Moyer captured the final 10 grand event by pulling past race leader Terry Phillips late in the race.

RC Whitwell was really impressive! He made very main event, got 3 2nd's and the 5 out of 6 top 10's I do believe...For a young guy out of Arizona, not too bad!!

And how about the local guy R.C. Whitwell again! Not only did he get 3 second place finishes, it seemed like he was always coming from midpack and was the fastest car at the end. If he had started in the top 4 one of those times, he might have won one!

I'd say that, with the 3 2nd places, the fact that he didn't crash or break anything, and the fact that he's local and didn't have as many expenses getting there, he's probably the only guy besides Moyer that actually made more money than he spent on this year's shootout.
