Default What is the effect of useing a 6.5 backset wheel on the RR from a 5?

This is something I have never played around with is using different back set wheels to change handling.

That's going to make you tighter.
Most folks willl put a shallower LR to tighten their car (like going from a 5 to a 4) or adjusting the RF from a 5 to a 4. Both of these will tighten your car.
Not sure what kind of car you have but be carefull tucking the RR in. You might start hitting the RR on the frame.
By the way, instead of using different offsets you can just use a wheel spacer. It accomplishes the same thing. All you're really doing is moving the wheel with respect to the center of gravity thereby changing the wheel weight. In the front you are also changing the scrub radius but the effect on handling is negligible.

Agree.. Moving RR in tightens car in the slick. I like it better than putting a spacer on LR and sticking wheel out. On our Rayburn, a 6" backspace wheel has plenty of clearance. A 7" backspace is real close but does not hit.
