Date Confirmed for UFo “Revolution 2011” at Dog Hollow!

(MARS PA) – Dog Hollow Speedway has set the date for their biggest Super Late Model event of the season. UFo “Revolution 2011” will take place on Sunday night, July 17 as part of the $440,000 UFo Race Championship 2011 tour.

Last year’s UFo “Revolution 2010” at Dog Hollow produced on of the highest driver counts of the season in the region and a thrilling feature finish. When the check flag flew, Jason Covert of Lock Haven, PA roared from 10th to claim what would be his 1st of 2 UFo victories in 2010 over the 42-car field. Covert made an exciting pass in the final laps over race leader Jamie Lathroum of Mechanicburg, MD to claim the top prize. Jeremy Miller of Gettysburg, PA finished 3rd after staring 12th on the grid, with 2011 UFo Champion Chad McClellan of Stoystown, PA finishing 4th. Jared Miley of South Park, PA finished 5th after restarting the race from the tail of the field.

UFo “Revolution 2011” at Dog Hollow promises to be another outstanding event. Its unique Sunday date allows an excellent opportunity for a maximum field of drivers. Dog Hollow’s central location makes it the perfect venue for a north vs. south vs. east vs. west show down of Super Late Model drivers in the region. The raindate for UFo “Revolution 2011” will be Sunday night, July 24.

Dog Hollow Speedway located in Indiana County PA near Strongstown features weekly Friday night racing. Owner and promoter Jim Michny is a firm supporter of regional racing since building the track.
