Default falcon behind a ford not working help needed

installing a new falcon trans behind a ford motor with a quicktime bell. when installing found that the input shaft only goes .200" into the crank flange with the trans fully in stalled. in the previous years we ran a bert trans and the input shaft went in the crank flange .550"

has anyone ran in to this before??? and any ideas on how to get the input shaft in the flange further on the falcon

I made a .250 thick spacer( put it between the flywheel and the hub) for a guy that had the same issue a couple years ago it worked out for him.

On my ford stuff I always ran a chevy coupler with the bert adapter between the coupler and the crank which spaced the coupler back about 1/2 "

Shim it. When I bought my Falcon it came with like 3 or 4 shims to adjust that.
