    Default bert trans question

    been a while since I had to take the drive flange off the motor and I cant find my manual or remember if the flange had to be torqued to the motor... can someone help me out?

    yes it does the same torque figure as the flywheel or flexplate bolts dont forget to put some locktite on the threads
    60-70 ftlbs.these numbers come from a haynes manual

    i recommend that you tighten them to 65ft lbs. also you a little thread locker on the end of your bolts of security. dont go over board with the loctite. just a lil dab does it. using too much makes it a pain when replacing it. if too much is used, and the holes arent cleaned out, this may cause the bolts to not tighten correctly and vibrate loose.
