Adding to the tremendous momentum already gained for 2011, the FASTRAK Racing Series is pleased to announce Cleveland County Speedway as its newest member track. Located in Lawndale, NC, CCS has played host to many of dirt late model’s finest racers and events. Owner Steve Mason has owned the ˝ mile oval for 7 years and Tami Mullis is entering her 3rd season as promoter and general manager of the speedway.

We are very pleased to partner with Cleveland County Speedway, stated FASTRAK’s Jason Atkins. “This will give our members in western North Carolina a quality venue to compete at. It will also give them a Friday night track where they can obtain points and races for the 2011 City Chevrolet National Weekly Championship and 2011 Grand Nationals.”

Cleveland County Speedway is less than 25 miles from FASTRAK sanctioned Cherokee Speedway. “We are glad to be reunited with FASTRAK for 2011”, stated Mullis. “In addition to our loyal base of weekly racers, we are looking forward to welcoming a host of new drivers and teams to our facility”. Open practice at Cleveland County Speedway is scheduled for March 19th. The season opener for CCS is scheduled for March 25th.
