Camshaft Suggestions please
Car is a 3000 lb hobby stock 355 motor, stock intake, heads, and exhaust manifolds, no port work, 1.94/1.60 valves, quadrajet, 4500 rpm coming out of corners 6300 rpm at end of straights. Powerglide trans with fully functional torque converter. I'd like more pull from 4500-7000 RPM or maybe I'm going overboard with the RPM on an engine with stock ports?
Currently have a Howards 110812 which is a solid lifter cam.
Basic Operating RPM Range 2,500-6,500
Intake Duration at 050 inch Lift 248
Exhaust Duration at 050 inch Lift 252
Duration at 050 inch Lift 248 int./252 exh.
Advertised Intake Duration 286
Advertised Exhaust Duration 294

sounds like a gear issue, not a cam.
