Default Building new shaw got some ?s

Basicly just wanting to know if we need to go with all the shaw parts, as in birdcages we have the bsb birdcages all ready and want to stick with bsb do we need to get the shaw version. Also the pullbar mount on the quickchange and the j bar mounts r we going to need to go with the shaw stuff. Just look for opinions

Make sure your RRL bar clears your slider/coilover on the RR. I had a set of BSB's and found that the slider would hit on the bar due to the BSB's being a "single plate" design; we ended up purchasing a BSB shock mount that moved the slider in towards the center of the rearend. Put the RR through a full range of motion in the shop to ensure you don't have any clearance issues.

As far as sticking with Shaw stuff...Kevin is one of the best in the business and is a big help. If you have their stuff on your car it is easier for him to help you and tell you what you need to do (if you do never need chassis advice).

make sure that the location of the holes on the pull bar bracket is where shaw has em....the height and distance from axle center line really effect handling and but other than that every thing should be ok.....the bsb birdcages are probably alot nicer then the twn non bearing ones that most of the shaws have, so ur prolly better off there

We have decided to buy the shaw bsb birdcages and just keep the ones we have now for spares and buy the shaw pull bar bracket, but were going to stick with r bsb j bar brackets and shocks

dont own a shaw and dont mean to take the thread but seen on a post that most shaws run a non bearing birdcage..just gotta ask if thats the case, not on a 4 link but always figured a bearing birdcage would be alot nicer than the ones with that liner, just askin thats all, gain a lil knowledge lol

Bearing cages are way nicer yes. Shaw has/had (haven’t looked in awhile) an internet package that has baseline stuff with liner cages which alot of people buy. i bet if you call shaw he would tell you that he likes the bearing cages. Its especially nice to have bearing cages if you only have one person. The maintenance week in and week out is horrendous on a set of liner cages

Yea we got r bsb shaw birdcages in last week look like a realy good peice, got em on the car everything looks good but wont get to run em for a couple weeks. Never had a problem with a bsb part and every bracket and shock on r car is bsb so doubt it would start with these. Had a few ppl trying to tell us the bearing birdcages didnt measure the same and would bind. They do measure the same as far as the binding never had a problem with the non shaw bsb birdcages we ran on r other car last year.
