Default Need Help with Carburetor Problem at the Bama Bash...

What would cause fuel to bypass the needle and seat with only five pounds of fuel pressure? This is an Alcohol 750 Demon Carburetor....Thanks

have you checked your float levels? if your bowls are too full it will flood the motor coming to an idle. have you checked the needle and seat to see if they're dirty or stuck?

I second the float levels. Especially check your rear bowl. Does it stumble at all when you get into the throttle? Also if your carb has not been cleaned or rebuilt in a while it is probably sticking open. Alky carbs need regular cleanings to operate correctly.
