    Default j-bar vs panhard bar

the class i am in recently outlawed j bars on 3 links we have to go to a rear mounted panhard bar min 20'' trailing arms min 20'' and no pull bar a solid link on top max 20'' 20 20 20 rule. by switching to the rear mounted panhard bar what is going to be the biggest change we feel? does a jbar tighten on entry and a rear mounted panhard bar on exit? we had plans of making mounts on the rear of the rear end mounted in the same position as the front. my concern is under acceleration with the j-bar the roll center raises right and now with the panhard bar on the rear will that make it lower under acceleration?

you say no pull bar but can you run a rubber buscit ?

the biggest thing with the rear mounted panhard bar will be you wount need as much angle in it as you do with the j bar

when under load as the pinion raps up with the jbar you loose angle in the j bar

and on the rear bar it will gain angle

the best thing you could do is run at least half the angle you do now to start and go from there everything ells will be about the same.

its a class dominated by leaf spring guys who dont under stand the coil cars. solid upper link only no bisquit. also no more hoosier dirt bozz we have to run the g-60s or 500's. get this they gave leaf guys who normally win the option to float the rr to help dampen the rear end
