Default New track record attempt at Bristol!

Finally Supermodifieds are going to run on a big stage.....well for a few laps anyway. I grew up watching these cars, lived just a few blocks from the Oswego Speedway.

Winged Supers are going to try for the track record at Bristol. You can read more here ->http://www.ismasupers.com/news.html

Ryan Newman holds the Cup record at 14.908 and Bonsignore was just a little faster in his Modified at 14.835. The supers would run in the 13 and 14 second range at Flemington years ago, and that was a flat 5/8. I would hope to see some 12 second lap times!

Most handling problems can be solved by adjusting the screw-ball. It can be difficult to fine tune at times. Explaining yourself loudly and striking it on top of the helmet with a dead blow hammer usually works well.

Interesting too bad its not open to whoever wants to try and set a record like at Kalamazoo Michigan. Where dirt late models or maybe paved super late model with big bill board type sides set the record whenever they have the attempts day.

Supers are the fastest short track cars in the world. I was lucky to grow up watching them. Nascar will not be happy when they take the track. The cup cars are going to look about as fast as a Hobby Car after the Supers.

Wonder why a super doesnt own the Kalamazoo track record then? Last time I looked it was a dirt late model with slicks and bill board sides.

Kyle Busch has been speaking about Kimi Raikkonen's move to NASCAR Trucks, whether he himself will enter the IndyCar $5m Vegas challenge - and what it's like to be NASCAR's "bad boy."
