    Default opinion on starters

    I am looking to purchace a couple of starters and was wondering which brand is the most durable and reliable? Thanks in advance.

    tiltons are a little pricey but they should last forever. i've never had a problem with mine.

    We use these. www.dbrstarters.com They are a smaller company, but build a quality product and are widely used here in the southeast.

    i have to agree with doc i have used mason in the past,but must say that the dbr starters work just as well and not near the cost.

    Yup thats what I use. Good quality starter at a real good price.

    Most handling problems can be solved by adjusting the screw-ball. It can be difficult to fine tune at times. Explaining yourself loudly and striking it on top of the helmet with a dead blow hammer usually works well.

    SAE on the side of Shane Clantons race car. They build starters and race I would think they do a good job too. (Southern Auto Electric)
