    Default Removed Spoiler

Well the new track rules removed the rear spoiler on the xmod class.
    360 ci max 9.5 -1 engine 2 bbl carb.
    3 link solid pullbar
    80 lb bite
    55 lt
    54 rear
    600 650 rf
    175 175 rr
    pullbar at 18 degree
lt arm at 25 degree rt arm 10 degree

I had the car handling pretty good prior to this.
NOW I couldnt even get on the gas WITHOUT spinning my tires. Was never able to get more 3/4 throttle. Even down the straight aways. Car was better thru the turns but just have nothing off the turns and down the straightaways.
EVERYone seemed real squirly out there.
would going to 200 lb springs in rear help or more pullbar angle ??
car may have been a tad loose in the middle but was feeling otherwise good in and thru mid, just off and straight away was bad
    TY Bill

you may start with softer rear shocks and the pullbar spring. you need the wt to transfer quicker and stay longer.the 54 percent rear would be second bring it up but I would do that a little at a time if handling good every where else. this is 3-link chassis?

It did say 3 link and has a solid pull bar.
If he raises the rear percent, wont that loosen it up on entry some?

Put the 200 in the left rear and lower the RR arm as much as you can. Is your springs on the arms or axle. Can you put the LR spring behind the axle ?

My buddy races at the same track , old guy in the #5 yellow car. He was having the same problem in the feature, smokin the tires. Sounds like you have to go to a different tire?

The springs mount to the trailing arm mount.
Yes I can move it but the mounting is different alot some modifications would have to be done.
And Yes the track was slick but I have never had that much of a hard time to get some traction in my car before removing the spoiler. I hate these new rules they SUCK..........!

The spoiler creates more downforce than people give it credit for. Id start by increasing rear 1% at a time and see what happens.
