lowering block
I put a 1" lowering block on my right side and the car only moved 3/8 " does that mean the rear suspension is bound up somewhere? i was thinking that a 1" block would move the car 1"
-
No, doesn't mean it's bound up. The spring is going to deflect(arch will change) when changing block heights.

so whats a better fix? taller lowering block? or raising the front of the spring up? its a stock camaro, but if getting creative with my stock location is the best way to go then so be it.
-
what are you trying to do? set ride , weight bias, clearance?
-
the car has an 8" rr ride heaight, i was trying to get it to 7 or a little under.
-
y would u want it that low..
You have to got to be FREAKIN kidding me!!!!!!!!!
-
i would try using adjustable shackles raise the rear eye lowers car, that way if it is too low you can go back up.
-
right now it has a slider on the RR and its all the way against the frame. @ taslowroller what would you suggest for ride heights?
-
On my leaf car I ran 8 1/2 - 9 on RR
-
i got 91/2 rr 8 lr w/sliders hope this helps
-
i have 6 3/4 on rr with 2in blocks
-
so should i leave the RR and raise up the rest of the car? what are some suggested heights?
-
Rear ride heights should be set in relation to the front. Get the correct geometry on the RF lower control arm/ball joint, then put about an inch of rake in the car, rear being higher. Or this is how I do it anyhow....

Setting on the scales, 2.5" tall pads, my RR is around 9" w/a tire that rolls out 87".
Is everyone running the same size tire that posted their ride heights? Doubt it!

Level ur tie rods and set rear inch higher.
